Lane Hickenbottom Independent/Lane Hickenbottom A woman walks past the City of Grand IslandŐs Christmas tree on her way into City Hall Monday. Mayor Jay Vavricek will host the MayorŐs Christmas Tree ceremony tonight at 6:15 p.m., prior to the city council meeting. The tree, which was donated by Randy and Trish Curran and decorated with ornaments provided by Grand Island elementary school students, will be lit at 6:45 p.m. The free event will include entertainment from the Grand Island City Singers and refreshments. 1205 CityChristmasTreeBW LH
