Lane Hickenbottom

Independent/Lane Hickenbottom Grand Island firefighters ventilate smoke from a house on 1608 Coventry Lane Monday evening. The fire was reported around 6:30 p.m., said Capt. John Mayer. No one was injured in the blaze and Mayer was unsure if anyone was home when the fire started. He said flames were visible when firefighters arrived on the scene and there was ÒextensiveÓ fire and smoke damage throughout the home. All four stations responded and a recall was issued shortly after the fire was reported. The cause of the blaze remained under investigation Monday night, Mayer said.
