A Grand Island Northwest drum major helps lead the Unity Band in front of the Grand Island Veterans Home during the annual Veterans Day Parade last year. In addition to the band and vehicles carrying dignataries, nearly 3,000 students marched in the parade. This year's parade will be on Thursday Nov. 10 to avoid conflicting with state volleyball.
