A supply hose connected a hydrant flows toward the scene of a downtown fire in Hastings. The fire burned the former Uerling Furniture and Carpeting store, which consisted of two, two-story buildings at Second and St. Joseph's streets. The fire began about 5:19 p.m. and was still burning after 8:30 Sunday night.
