Ron Dornhoff, of Heartwell, stands as part of the wall of flags put up by members of the Patriot Guard Riders before funeral services for Staff Sgt. Jeffrey Hansen in Minden. The wall shielded the church and surrounding area from protesters a block away. Dornhoff was on his way to the courthouse when he saw the cars and motorcycles gathered at the church and decided to stay and help once he know the situation.
