Republican U.S. Senate candidate Pete Ricketts works the crowd (center) of about 250 people gathered in Henderson for the dedication of the statue in front of them on Friday morning. The statue, honoring open-ditch irrigation, was created Vern Friesen, and includes a plaque that states, ÒWATER Ñ Life Blood of Agriculture.Ó
