Walnut Middle School social studies teacher Cindy Miles (center) meets her new sixth-grade students, including (from left) Gaby Contreras, Celeste Ramirez and Bryan Davis, for the first time outside Walnut Middle School on Thursday morning. Miles then led her students inside to a brand new full-sized room. Last year, Miles taught a class of 23 students in a room built for seven adults.
