Dr. Kathleen Bliese will be awarded the 2006 Humanitarian Award by the American Academy of Family Physicians in September for her work bringing medical aid to communities in impoverished countries. She began her missionary medical work after graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the 1960s.
