Grand Island Senior High #2 doubles player Brigette Root hits a volley at the net during the second game of a Class A state quarter-final match against Tania Gardner and Tiffany Gerdes of Omaha Westside with her partner Kassandra Schultz. The GISH duo advanced to the semi-final match today defeating the Westside team 6-0, 6-2.
