Independent/Lane Hickenbottom

Independent/Lane Hickenbottom Frequent bolts of lightning lit up the sky late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning as seen in this 30-second exposure taken at Mormon Island State Recreation Area south of Grand Island. The yellow and red streaks of light through the horizon were made from the lights of I-80 traffic traveling along the southern edge of the lake.
