A Cairo volunteer firefighter hoses down the interior of a garage that caught fire Thursday at about 12:30 p.m. The fire spread into the attic of a home at 305 Suez St., but firefighters were able to gain control of the fire before it spread to the rest of the house. No one was injured in the fire.
