Independent/Barrett Stinson Lauri Westfall of Grand Island says she is not looking for sympathy for her son. She just wants people to appreciate the power of methamphetamine addiction in the hope that others may not have to suffer through its effects. Westfall is holding a photograph of her son, Shon Westfall, during his time as a Marine before ShonŐs downfall due to his use of methamphetamine and eventual arrest on Monday, April 2, after a standoff with authorities. Shon was scheduled to enter rehab later that Monday; his bags are still packed at left. 0415 shonmom bjs
