The Indepencent/Barrett Stinson

On opening day in 2003, Fonner Park celebrated 50 years of horse racing. CEO/Executive Vice President Hugh Miner poses in the paddock area of the track, as out rider Bob Young sits atop a horse named Toad behind him. After a 36 year career, Miner will be inducted into the Nebraska Racing Hall of Fame on April 20 at Fonner Park in Grand Island.
