Independent/Lane Hickenbottom

Independent/Lane Hickenbottom Ellen Hornady (right) pets a puppy named Astro being held by her mother-in-law, Jill Hornady, who is a member of the Central Nebraska Humane SocietyÕs board of directors, Friday during the annual Fur Ball fund-raiser for the humane society. The event, which includes silent and live auctions, raises about 10 percent of Central Nebraska Humane SocietyÕs annual operating budget.
