Independent/Lane Hickenbottom With the temperatures in the single digits, Trevor Beeder walks past a tropical mural painted on the wall of Laundry Island at the corner of Walnut and Koenig streets while walking to his motherÕs house Saturday, February 18. Beeder said he thought Grand IslandÕs tropical identity was overrated. ÒI think its cold here more than anything,Ó he said.
