Independent/Lane Hickenbottom Curtis Kimes riding Sparkie Sharkey (far right) leads the pack crossing the finish line during the feature race of opening day at Fonner Park Friday. Rahy Royal crossed the line without its jockey after Dan Beck fell off shortly past the starting gates of the four-furlong race.
