Independent/Barrett Stinson

Gabriel Thompson, 17, of Grand Island works on the speed bag at the Grand Island Ring of Champions Boxing Club. After winning a pre-Golden Gloves tournament and another tournament a week later in the 135-pound weight class, Thompson will be boxing in the Golden Gloves elimination tournament in March.
