With opening day approaching on Friday, the sounds of running horses fill the air at Fonner Park during morning workouts. The mild weather this year has made the preparation a much more enjoyable task. Randy Brock, who has been a rider for over 30 years, said he could remember riding in minus 30 degree windchill one year.
