During a Pheasants Forever statewide gathering at the Midtown Holiday Inn in Grand Island, Bruce Trindle, big game research program manager with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, speaks about the current status of the bird flu virus. Because the flight pattern of many migrating waterfowl crosses through Nebraska, there is cause for concern that the birds could bring the virus with them after sharing spring breeding grounds in Alaska with birds from the Asian continent.
