A spent shell flies from the gun of Nebraska State Patrol cadet Anthony Frederick as he undergoes training on the shooting range at the Nebraska State Patrol Training Academy in Grand Island. When Frederick graduates on Friday, he will make up a trio of Fredericks working for the Nebraska State Patrol by joining his brother and father on the force.
